Prior to working on behalf of victims, many of our attorneys were hired by insurance companies, doctors, hospitals and Fortune 500 companies as defense lawyers. Robert F. Linton, Jr. has been a trial attorney since 1984. He previously was a partner in one of Cleveland's premier defense firms, Weston Hurd, where he defended medical malpractice, product liability and other injury and death cases for local hospitals, Fortune 500 companies and insurance companies.
Ellen Hobbs Hirshman has been a trial attorney practicing personal injury/medical malpractice law since 1982. She formerly defended hundreds of lawsuits against physicians accused of medical malpractice while working at Jacobson Maynard, the law firm for the state's largest insurer of physicians. Tobias J. Hirshman has been a trial attorney for over 23 years. From 1978 to 1982, he represented plaintiffs in the areas of civil rights, environmental and public interest advocacy in West Virginia.
Stephen T. Keefe, Jr. has been an attorney since 1996. He began his career as a judicial staff attorn.ey for two Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas Judges. He has recently been named President of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys.
